Alimah Course for Sisters 2012

The ‘Aalimah’ course is designed to embed within students the principles of Islamic Theology and Jurisprudence. At the end of the course, students are expected to have gained an in-depth understanding of the meaning, interpretation and commentary of the Holy Quraan, narrations of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and other sources of Islamic knowledge. Students will also be proficient in oratory skills in English and have a professional standard of understanding in classical Arabic.
The interest for such a course in London has increased in the last few years so it would come as a great delight for students and parents alike to have access to such a course right next to their doorstep. We hope you would take benefit from this and we ask for everyone’s duas for its success.

Alhamdulillah we are also pleased to announce 4 new classes dedicated to sisters of all ages. All classes take place during the day and are ideal for both the younger sisters who have finished their secular education or decided not to go college/university, or for our mothers and older sisters with children etc. They can drop off their children to school, attend the classes, then pick them up again after class. We have tried to offer a variation of classes so everyone can join atleast one class depending on their needs and abilities inshaAllah.

I would really like to join the current Sanatain course that started in Feb 2012. Currently I am studying in Manchester and I would only be able to join the course in June inshaAllah. Please email me with details of the term dates and holidays as I would like to know how much I have missed. Also how big is the class size and whats the age range like? I am assuming that the Hanafi fiqh will be taught but is it possible for me to ask questions about Shafie’ fiqh in the course? JazakAllahu khair.

Is there a big emphasis on memorisation?
    Jazakallah Kyayr.

  20. Shasmeen says:

AsalaamuAlaikum sister, my name is Shasmeen and I am over 19 and I’m very eager to become an alima.

I used to attend Jamea Al Kauthar (an boarding school in Lancaster) when I was 11 but I left in my first year then attended a boarding school in blackburn called Markaz Uloom but had to leave when my parents got divorced. I left when I was getting in to the third year and now regret the fact that I never was able to complete my studies nor do I now have much knowledge. I know you will not take me on as my arabic reading is poor, I have no A-C grades, I don’t remember any arabic that I was taught and my knowledge has become weak since my parents got divorced. But if you let me do this course then by the will of ALLAH I will study with all efforts and attention on the course and I shall try to attain the best grades possible with also practising what I learn. I am very determined to become an alima.

I’m an nursery apprentice studying childcare at the very moment and the person who I am trying to marry is becoming an alim himself and it is very sad that I regret never succeeding with the course which is all I really wish I had done.

The days I’m free are weekends or weekdays after 6.30pm

I know you may not be able to let me on to the course but please do make dua someone or somewhere will help me to become an alima at a small price as I do not have much money however I will give anything I can and do anything I can to become an alima if I am given the chance.

    Yours sincerely,
    Shasmeen- Shamilah Amatullah

P.s Jazakallah khayran and ALLAH HAFIS

    Assalamu alaykum wr wb,

I am interested in joining the Aalimah course that you’re offering InshaAllah, however, I want to ask a few questions:
    1) I already studied 4-5 years of Aalimah course (7 years alimah course) in JAmia-Al hudaa in Nottingham. Unfortunately, I could not complete the remaining 2 years due to some reasons and I am willing to complete it now. Would it be possible to complete the two years at your school??
    2) The books that I have studied were: all the qasas nabiyin book in arabic and the sirat un nabi as well, islamic history (in english) i have complete ikhtiyar book for fiqh in arabic but only volume 1upto kitaab buyu’ and I have completed mishkaat masaabih volume 1 upto kitaab dua or manasik’ all in arabic. I have completed usool fiqh and usool hadith as well. All my 4-5 years course was done in Arabic with some use of English. would it be possible to join and complete the remaining two years?
    3) what books do you use?
I would be grateful if you could get back to me on this inshaAllah Ameen.
    BarakAllah feek
